What are the child support laws in Georgia, USA?

I have a friend who lives in Gwinnett County, Georgia, which is to a divorce. Her husband says he does not pay a dime of child support. He says he quit his job before he receives any money from him. Can get away with it?

Obviously he said it in anger and anguish. Not the child support that will not pay, I am sure that is the fact that the money is to the wife. He will be responsible for child support if the court tells him to pay – if you close your work and not pay, will go to jail – no kidding, it happens all time. It is possible, if he gets a lawyer who can even get custody of the children and the wife would pay child support. His advice to his friend should be receiving advice before filing for divorce – Children are the worst sufferers in divorces, the second is the person who does not want the divorce – which in this case sounds like the husband. It is a slope slippery – this thing of divorce.
